Asheville Tea PAC’s mission includes identifying, assessing, and supporting candidates for political office who align with our values. We have done that. Through an exhaustive selection process, we fully endorsed Dr. Eichenbaum for US Congress. Our endorsement was not limited to the Republican Primary. We have no intention of supporting any other candidate for Congress in the way we supported Dr. Eichenbaum. It is not part of our mission to simply support GOP candidates.
All Asheville Tea PAC endorsements for U.S. Congressional seats or North Carolina General Assembly in 2010 will be based on the results of the Independence Caucus candidate assessment process. The candidates we endorse have earned the IC endorsement. Other candidates are either under review or have declined participation. In addition, after the 2010 election, Asheville Tea PAC endorsements for local and county offices will have received the IC endorsement.
